September 19 I'm going to ThailandI'm off to Thailand in October. I going to visit Pam a friend of mine. It was a big shock finding out, My children and family give me a surprise party for my 50th and then suprised me with a trip to Thailand. It now includes going to Cambodia, Siem Reap.... Arkor What. (temples in ruins ) It is very exciting and it took me a while to come to terms with it. I have been flat out getting everything orginised. There is sooo much to think of !!! If someone had told me I would be going to Cambodia this year or at all I would have laughed at them. ( a bit like Sarah). But God has put an excitment in my heart for that place. Also Thailand. I think i will nead to pinch myself a few times when I am on the plane Still!
I am looking forward to helping in the mercy centre at Pataytma, where Pam is living. Should be GReat!

March 24 Ducks updateHi there, Just an update on on my ducks Huey, Duey & Luey. I let them out of their pen today. I kept the dogs inside..they were winging at the door to come out. Very slowly the ducks came out pecking as they came. Duey is the one who lead them right out and then Huey took over. They didn't stay out for too long...but I will try to do the every day for them..It would have been better if it had of rained. Things are a bit dusty at the monent. I got a couple of pic's of them anyway and a video. March 17 Dan And Jason dressed up for the D & D BALLDaniel and Jason, his mate went to the Desprate and Datless Ball at Dream World tonight. ST Paddies Day.
I have some Photo's of them in they suits......mighten ever see this again or untill they are married.

Any way have a look for your self. February 18 Duckling Update!This is an update on the ducklings, Huey, Duey & Leuy. I believe that Huey is a drake and the other 2 looks like they might be females. Which is nice . Only time will tell for sure. Since the dad has gone they are heaps better and are getting used to people. Their love eating fresh grass leaves, the younger the better. I have taught the children to call the ducklings by a noise, then by name and then drop the leaves into the pen and stand back. It has been a week now ...tomorrow, since we have been doing that and they are responding to it very well. I hope to be hand feeding them in another week or so, maybe! February 12 Up date on ducklings!!!This is an update on the ducklings, Mum died and I had to make a pen so dad couldn't get to the duckling ..but they could get out. It worked and now they are 4 wks and dad is at a better place where their their is a lot of water, fish and greens..The ducklings have the pen all to them selves. I make steps up to the big pond, they loved it. They were cramped up in the small pen for a while, It was so good to see them enjoy the whole of the pen. January 18 The ducklingsI rescured two ducks , one male and one female from the pound. Skye was going to take them there ......they (ducks) had taken over the backyard and the girls couldn't go out and play with out geting attacked...they were Easter ducklings...Oh...so...cute!!!!Skye had other offers from Gary and other male in the family.."peking duck, duck with orange sauce" she didn't want to see that happen so I thought they can occuipy my messy back corner of my yard...We had to put a cover on it...(they decided to fly on to Sandra's shed )...the children loved to feed them and Shayla said she would like them to have ducklings.eg MUM & DAd & babies.(family)..so after the second batch of eggs had started .....and me getting attacked by the male for touching the eggs...I decided I would leave them and see what happens. She got her eggs in a spot and started to make a nest and lay more eggs day by day......I gave her more shreddered paper and she greatfully used it ......them she started to sit on the eggs...and that took such a long time 35 days ...but it felt a lot longer...We thought the male "Fatso" or Fat duck - Shayla calls him...we thought he didn't do his part....we saw him trying at different times....Shayla came running into me one day and was quite upset ..."Nanna..quick ..the big duck is squishing the little duck!!!" I laughted and said " that's how have ducks have babies.....you said you wanted ducklings...remember !!!" "OH" she said.. still not so...sure...Well finially when I was checking her one morning and had really given up on seeing any ducklings....I noticed that they was some egg shells scatted around the nest and the nest was nearly non-exsistant........I thought she had destroyed the bad eggs....and was going to lay some more...then I noticed something yellow darting under her and had a lot closer look ...I felt... soooo... happy ..."We've got ducklings I yelled to my neighbour Sandy...we had been watching her every morning"...."He did do his job"......So we have now got only three left...She had 10...fatso killed one then there was 9...one dissapeard then there was 8....5 we got great homes for......then there was 3. Huey...Duey...& Luey.....  Huey is Yellow, Duey and Luey..are black with white chests. I think Luey is a girl....July 16 Bron's & Brad's WeddingYesterday my Nephew Brad finailly married Bron, I was so blessed to be there, It was done really well, simple and elegant with touch's of themselves in it...perfect!
I didn't reconise Brad we i arrived at the church, he had grown his hair back and was in a suit.....On the other hand Bron was beautiful...I think Brad was wowed!!!!Like the rest of us... the kids looked so lovely as page boy and flower girls.....I actually saw my neice Brad's twin sister all dressed up..she looked so lovelly too.
It was so good to see Brad's Dad there and i know that really made it for him. As was Bron's Mum too.
We had a great time celebrating afterthe fact and catching up with family and lots of photo's. I got home about 2.30pm and Amanda and Paul was still going after we left. Mine you they were the only one's (die hard's) Check out the photo's in the album. July 12 Jason's bikeThe other day I was blessed to be able to buy a bike for Jason on Ebay for $10. It was my first time that I had ever bid and won any thing on Ebay. I picked it up not far from home the next day and took it round to Jason, my Grandson. Of couse i had the camera out, wanting to capture the look on his face when he saw the bike. He was to quick for me but i got him getting on the bike. Well you couldn't get between him and the bike for quite a while.
We had to put the seat right down for him and of couse we told him to put his helment on, it's a red williles helment pass down from his sister but it matches his bike, it's red too.
Jason was so funny on how he was getting the pedals to turn but he kept at it, with spils of it as he went near the lawn off the pathway, but he soon learnt to dust off and pick the bike up again. he kept at it and worked out how to turn it and use the pedals, it was so blessed to see him be so persistent. July 03 Shalya's First photo'sShayla picked up my camera this afternoon and decided to take some photo's....i showed her how it turned on and which button to press and the one not to press!!!
I expressed to her the importantance of not dropping my camera.....how much it cost ....and away she went...Man! she took photo's of everything and i mean everything...Myself, her brother and the dogs were her main target...i mean focus??? so she went around the house and out the back and took 94 photo's !!!!
I think she did a great job for a 4yr old .....have a look at them and tell what you think ...they are in the photo albums...there are only some of them...the good one's!!! that i could fit in !!! June 23 We got through! We got through to the next round in World Cup soccer. It was a nail biting time watching the Roo's against the Crow's, but Harry pulled it off for us. Now, next it's Italy.....well look how we went against Brazil...not to shabby..It looked like Harry was thanking God for the goal!!! Well he had a lot to thank Him for ......as he was blessed to be still playing.....getting let off for swearing at the ref. June 04 ExcitedI attended a music semminier yesterday which has got me excited about learning to play again and singing again.
So that night i found a keyboard on Ebay and my son will pick it up for me this week. It was good to see my son get more invollived in his music again too. Looking for great things to happen. |
